Cost-cutting B2B solutions... |
Brussels, March 28, 2007 - Connexion Corporate Communications SA/NV, a provider of multilingual web and print business-to-business communication solutions and prominent integrator of Web Content Management Software (WCMS), shows at Entreprendre/Ondernemen 2007 a brand new solution that automates the translation process of web content. This innovating technology considerably cuts cost and time constraints for organizations needing to localize their website.
The 'Language Communication' division of Connexion has brought high quality translation and copywriting services towards its clients for almost two decades. The bridge has now been made between this division and Connexion's 'eCommunication' division, which stands for all online media. Customers can now easily export their website in full or just parts, have it translated and upload the translation in no time, without any editing work required.
The Automated Web Translation Workflow (AWTW) requires the use of a web content management system (WCMS), such as Hot Banana or Drupal and the use of a Computer Assisted Translation (CAT) tool, such as Trados, Déjà Vu, Wordfast or SDLX. The process is fast, easy and straightforward. Via one click in the WCMS administration environment, the section, page or complete website that needs translation is exported in XML format into an CAT tool. Translators will do their job within this tool or any word processing software. When done, the translations are converted back into xml and imported with a few clicks into new web pages generated by the WCMS. These language pages are published instantly with the new content, metadata, and links, in the same layout as the original pages.
The AWTW solution has already been adopted by prominent industrial companies like Ansell Healthcare and Ingersoll Rand. Both organizations use Hot Banana, a powerful WCMS that powers corporate websites, intranets, extranets, landing pages and micro marketing sites for more than 220 companies worldwide in more than 16 languages. The AWTW solution is also being implemented for the new trilingual website of the industrial company Toyo Pumps Europe, driven by the open source WCMS Drupal.
Bart Roofthooft, Project Director at Connexion Corporate Communications: "This unique module on the WCMS market is the ideal solution for all organisations with a global business but a local approach. It is again a good illustration of the intuitive ease-of-use of Hot Banana, but also Drupal. It is the ultimate tool to bring local languages and cultures into the online process of a company at affordable cost, without depending on third parties."
